Romania-12.9-17.9.2022.

The second week of the new school year started excitingly, with the first Erasmus+ trip that took us to the east of Europe, to the country known for the Count Dracula brand - Romania.

went to the second largest Romanian city - Iasi . The magic of this city was also contributed by socializing with partners from the Bringing life skills into the classroom project (Romania, Turkey, Portugal, Poland and Slovakia), whom we had the opportunity to host in our school (in Croatia) in June this year.

Monday, 12.9.

After an early breakfast, we went sightseeing in the city, whose beauty, architecture and nature delighted us. The Palace of Culture, which is one of the trademarks of Iasi, made a big impression on us. Unfortunately, we did not visit the palace itself, but we learned that there are museums of history, science, technology and art inside. We visited their metropolitan cathedral, where the body of St. Petka, the patroness of the city, is kept. In addition to cultural sights and long walks along beautiful boulevards, we spiced up the day with coffee in the newly opened Tucano cafe and lunch in a Lebanese restaurant.

Tuesday, 13.9.
Our first school day with partners has started. At the very entrance to the host school, we were greeted with a traditional expression of welcome - bread, which we had to dip in salt, and their school choir sang two folk songs. The Romanian students also showed us their traditional dance, which we also had the opportunity to dance. After we relaxed a bit, the hosts presented us with the topic of this mobility, namely creativity and how to think in a creative way. After we played a game in which we could get to know the other students better, we split up
into international groups and completed two tasks together. Later we all went to lunch together where we ate one of their traditional dishes. After a delicious lunch, we headed towards the c
ity center, where a tour guide was waiting for us, who brought us closer to Iasi in an interesting way. We returned to the hotel tired, but satisfied because of the wonderful moments we experienced.

Wednesday, 14.9.
The second school day was the most interesting for us. Divided into international groups, we were given the task of making as small a package as possible for one piece of chips that will not break into pieces during delivery (ship the chip). Some groups succeeded, some did not. Our second task was to create a creativity puzzle. After another successful working day, we went to lunch together, and then by tram to the VelPitar Bakery bread factory, where an employee took us through it, showed us and explained the entire process of making bread. After the tour, we received one of their products, donuts, which were very tasty.

Thursday, 15.9.
On the third working day, we were assigned to new international groups and our task was to make a work of art out of food. An exhibition was also organized, and after the scoring of all participants who had to adhere to the given evaluation rules, the best picture won. In the second part of the workshop, two Romanian professors of chemistry and biology taught us interesting facts about yeast and carbon dioxide on the example of two experiments. After the lunch break, in the afternoon we went back to school and played board games. Each country had to sing a song in its own language or dance its traditional dance.

Friday, 16.9.
We spent the fourth and last working day of this mobility on a trip to visit a small place not far from the city of Iasi where we were guests of the organization SUPER TINERI, which participates in European projects and facilitates student exchanges dealing with some aspect of art. Our subject was the Cucuteni tribe that once lived in the area. We were divided into 5 groups and each group had 20 minutes to carry out the task in the workshop of tattooing, composing music, working with clay, tailoring clothes and drawing comics. During each of the aforementioned workshops, we delved deeper into the magical world of the Cucuteni civilization. Later we went to the farm in
near where we had lunch and received certificates for participating in this learning, teaching and training activity. A wonderful day filled with creative ideas ended sadly because we had to say goodbye to some of our partners.

Saturday, 17.9.
The day before our return home, we decided to walk a little more in Iasi and thus say goodbye to it. Even though it was raining, that didn't stop us from seeing the old town center and walking through Copou Park, which we really liked.
